Daytona Beach, located in Volusia County, Florida, is northeast of Orlando and Miami and southeast of Jacksonville. The Daytona Beach International Airport is located three miles southwest of Daytona Beach.
Most of the economy in Daytona Beach is primarily tourism, but there are also manufacturing and industry companies. Daytona Beach is known for its sandy beaches where motorsports are practiced. It is also the NASCAR headquarters location. The Daytona International Speedway hosts the annual 24 Hours of Daytona and Daytona 500 races.
Volusia County Schools is a school district, which serves the Daytona Beach community. Many schools are available, both public and private, as well as preschools and public charter schools. The primary cultural facility is the Museum of Arts and Sciences, a collection of museums and galleries. Other worth-seeing points of interest include the Daytona Lagoon Water Park, the Southeast Museum of Photography, and The Ocean Center.
